During summers, we tend to wear light coloured clothes in general. We also look to wear thin material clothes to keep ourselves cool.

Light coloured clothes are poor absorbers of heat and hence reflect most of the heat that falls on them thus keeping us cool. Thin material clothes are also worn so that the heat from our body gets transmitted to the atmosphere easily since thicker clothes will have air in between which is a poor conductor of heat.
