A synthesis reaction is another name of a combination reaction. In this reaction, two more multiple elements or compounds undergo combination and result in one compound only.

In the above-given reaction, two different types of reactants (A and B) are reacting with each other to form only one single product (AB). This type of reaction is classified as a combination reaction.

2. Example of combination reaction

An example of a combination reaction is given below:

In this reaction, Magnesium combines with Oxygen in order to form Magnesium oxide. Thus, the type of reaction is a combination reaction.
