What type of tissue is present in our eyes ? How does it respond to the nerve cells ?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

The eye consists of muscular tissue, connective tissue, epithelial tissue and neural tissue. All these tissues form three tissue layers of eye: the fibrous layer, the vascular layer and the retina or neural layer. The cells in the retina or neural layer act like a cable connecting the eye with the brain. When light enters the eye it stimulates the cells present inside the retina known as rods and cones which react to specific wavelengths of light and trigger nerve impulses.
