Question

What type of image is formed by a projector?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Projectors are optical devices that are used to project an image or series of images onto a flat surface.
  2. The object, or in this case film is inverted and hence makes the images upright.
  3. They typically used a combination of convex lenses and mirrors to produce real, inverted, and magnified images. A simplified diagram is shown below.

Therefore the projector forms a real, inverted, and magnified image of an object.
