What was Khalisa?

The revenue-yielding land directly administered by the Imperial Department of Revenue was recognized as khalisa. The most fertile and easily managed territories were usually brought within the khalisa. There were two kinds of land during the Mughal and Sultanate timespan: the state was divided into the tracts called Iqta under the guidance of Iqtadars to appropriately regulate. Under the direct supervision and control of the central government, controlled by a king known as Khalisa. To achieve the soldiers and other expenses, it was handled via nobles and amils.
