Rowlatt Act - This act was passed in March 1919 and gave the legislative right to the British officials to control over the revolutionary activities .
But there was misuse of this act and the innocent people were punished. As a result, Indians disapproved this act. They showed their disappointment for the act through following says
1. Mahatma Gandhi started non - violent disobedience movement.
2. People started gathering in the cities to show their disappointment.
3. Shops were closed all over the country.
4. Different rallies and other activities were started by Indians against the act.
