Solution

The correct option is C 1.49 p.m.

In India, the time of Delhi is calculated by 82°30’ east longitude. Tokyo is situated at 139°45’ East longitude.

So, the difference between the longitudes is 139°45’ – 82°30’ = 57°15. So, the time difference between Delhi and Tokyo is 57°×4 minute.

= 228 min. (as 1° longitude is equal to 4 min.)

= 3 hrs. 48 min

Time in japan is 3 hrs. 48 min ahead and hence the time is 1.48 pm
