In the village of Palampur, facility of electricity was provided to the villagers and they were the only ones who got access to electricity earlier than other villages.
Electricity powers all tubewells in the fields which in turn led to irrigation of much larger areas effectively.It transformed the system of irrigation and they no more were dependent on traditional methods.
