Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq made some policy against non-Muslims.

Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq wished to expand his kingdom, and in doing so, he had to face opposition from all directions. The process of suppressing these rebellions, he drained his resources and wore out his army. The harsh policies of Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq created discontent among the nobles, the religious leaders and the army. He also banned some practices which the ulemas considered as un-Islamic to please them. He imposed a tax called jizya on non-muslims.
