Syngamy is the process of fusion of male and female gametes to form zygote during fertilization.
Syngamy is one of the event in double fertilization in angiosperms. Syngamy is the process of fusion of one of the male gamete with egg to form diploid zygote.
If syngamy does not occur then no sexual reproduction would occur.
