Translucent objects allow light,to pass through them partially. Some examples for translucent objects are: Butter paper, ground glass, thin sheets of plastic etc. Materials like air, water, and clear glass are calledtransparent.

Butter Paper is considered translucent since it allows light to travel partially through it.But some thick papers are opaque.
