Let the object and mirror distance be x & y.
(i) We can write, as image and object distance are equal, [Ref. image (i)]
x=ydxdt=dydtVi=Vo
(ii) mirror is moving with velocity Vm [Ref. image (ii)]
We write, dxdt=Vm&dydt=ViVm (row distance are changing)
as dxdt=dydtVi=2Vm
