Question

What will be the molarity of a solution of 0.13 M solution of NaCl when it is diluted from 1000 ml to 2100 ml?

Open in App
Solution

Molarity= WeightGMW×1000V(ml)
0.13=Weight58.5×10001000 [When volume= 1000ml; GMW of NaCl=58.5g]
(0.13)(58.5)=Weight
Weight=7.605

When it is diluted to 2100ml, then molarity is
Molarity= 7.60558.5×10002100
=0.006
Molarity when it is diluted is 0.006moles/Lit .
