Question

What will be the number of images formed when an object is placed between two parallel plane mirrors facing each other ?

Open in App
Solution

if two plane mirrors are inclined to each other at some angle, and an object is placed in front of them, number of images formed = (360/angle) - 1.

in this case, if two mirrors are placed opposite to each other, the angle between them is 0 degrees.

so, number of images formed = (360/0) - 1
= infinite
