Since Sulphur is a more elctronegative element, charge on sulphur is 2
Overall charge on H2S=0
Let x be the oxidation state of hydrogen in H2S
2x2=0x=1

For LiH
Since Sodium being the more elctropositive element , charge on Li will be +1
Overall charge on LiH=0
Let y be the oxidation state of hydrogen in LiH
