Let r1 and r2 be radii of two circles such that area of circle of radius r1 is 9 times the area of circle of radius r2.

r2=82 cm = 4 cm

And we know that, area of a circle= πr2
where r is its radius

Therefore, πr21 = 9πr22

πr21 = 9π×42

r21 = 144

r1 = ± 12

Here, radius of the circle cannot be negative.

r1=12 cm

Circumference of the circle of radius r1
= 2πr1 = 2 x 3.14 x 12 = 75.36 cm
