Radius of the base (r)=7cm Length of the cylinder (l)=49cm Density(d)=2.2gcm−3 Acceleration due to gravity (g)=10ms−2 To find the thrust exerted, first we have to calculate the mass of the cylinder. Mass of the cylinder =V×d =πr2l×d (∴ volume of the cylinder =πr2l) =227×7×7×49×2.2=11601.2g =16601.2×11000kg=16.601kg ∴ Thrust exerted =mg =16.601×10=166.01N.
