The correct option is C 140 m/s
Let the downward velocity be negative and upward velocity be postive.
Pulley (1) is fixed
So VB=Vplank=20 m/s
and VC=20 m/s

Considering pulley (2), we can say
that VD=VC=20 m/s
and VE=20 m/s (since the string is connected to the plank)

VD=VE+VG2
20=20+VG2
VG=60 m/s

Now considering pulley (3)

VI=20 m/s (connected to the plank)
and VH=VG=60 m/s

VH=VI+VJ2
60=20+VJ2
120=VJ20
VJ=140 m/s

Therefore velocity of block A VA=VJ=140 m/s
