Solution

The correct option is D Little absorption of fat will occur
Bile duct performs the function of transporting bile from the liver to the duodenum.
A) Faeces will become dry if excessive reabsorption of water takes place in the large intestine or less secretion of mucus by the intestinal walls. Choking of bile duct plays no role here.
B) Acidic chyme is neutralized by bicarbonates secreted by the pancreas. These are not poured in the intestine by the bile duct. Hence, this will not occur.
C) Digestion of food in liver will mostly continue as enzymes required for protein and carbohydrate digestion will be poured into the intestine.
D) Bile helps in emulsification of fats and hence in it's digestion. Due to a choke in the bile duct, it will not reach the intestine and little absorption of fat will occur.
So, the answer is 'Little absorption of fat will occur'.
