What will happen if excess rain falls on a region completely dried by a severe drought ?

Dear student

A drought prone region requires a lot of rainfall. So when it rains in a an area dried by severe drought, the area will become green, as trees and grass will grow there. But if the rainfall exceeds the requirement, it may result in flood in that area.
