Open in App
Solution

Dear Student, If, stomata is absent in plant leaf, plant will not able to perform gaseous exchange and eventually will die. In case of submerged aquatic plants, their stomata is either absent or non-functional because they do not need to save water even in case of floating leaves stomata is present on the upper side of leaves instead of underside for exchange of gases.
