Question

What will happen if there are no platelets in
the blood?

Open in App
Solution

Platelets are responsible for clotting of the
blood. When some injury occurs, blood
starts flowing from the wound. But after a
while it clots, the bleeding stops on its own.

If there are no platelets, the blood will not be
able to clot and will continue to flow. This
may lead to a huge loss of blood and can
ultimately cause death.
