Question

What will happen if there will be no electrons in an atom?

Open in App
Solution

There are two pretty common forms of “no electron atoms”. Strictly speaking, of course, they are no longer atoms. A proton can be thought of as a Hydrogen atom without an electron and an alpha particle can be thought of as a Helium atom without electrons. Such things are useful as projectiles in scattering experiments, since they can be accelerated electro-statically, or electro-dynamically.
