what will happen if while doing an experiment to verify the laws of reflection of sound if the reflecting surface is covered with loose woollen cloth ? what will be the nature of the reflected sound ?

Reflection of sound waves will not occur as the woollen cloth will absorb the sound waves. As such the expected result of the experiment will be erroneous.
