• The pressure potential is positive in the case of a turgid cell and negative is the case of a plasmolyzed cell. In a flaccid cell, there is no entry or exit of water due to osmosis so the pressure potential or ᴪ${}_p$ of a flaccid cell would be zero (0).
  
• The organisms other than plants which possess cell wall are fungi and few prokaryotes (bacterial type cells). The cell walls in each group of organisms vary distinctly.
