Question

What would be the pressure potential of a placcid cell ?

Open in App
Solution

In my opinion, Turgor pressure is actually pressure potential . Since the cell is in flaccid state Turgor pressure will be zero. When the cell is plasmolysed ( water has been drawn outta it ) , Then the turgor pressure or pressure potential is -ve .

Moving on to turgid cell , the value of turgor pressure is the highest n is equal to the OP or Osmotic potential.
