1) Whenever a cell is present in an isotonic solution (when the osmotic pressure of the cytoplasm of the cell is in equilibrium with the external solution), net flow of water is zero from inside to outside of a cell or vice versa and a state of equilibrium is achieved then the cells are termed as flaccid.
2) The pressure potential Ψp (is component of water potential because of hydrostatic pressure which is exerted on water in a cell) of flaccid cell is 0 because pressure potential and water potential of a flaccid cell are equal.
