What would happen if 5 batteries are added to the same circuit ? Explain.

Dear Student,
It will depends upon how you are connecting them,either series or parallel .
If connecting in series then net voltage will be five times of voltage of one battery .
Now if circuit is not in a position to bear this position then it will blast .
and if connecting in parallel then nothing will happen but batteries will work
for longer time than one battery ( here assuming batteries are ideal).
