What would happen if human beings have chlorophyll ? Does humans would turn green in colour ??

Dear student,

We can assume that the human beings may turn green in colour because of the chlorophyll pigment. But, the chlorophyll would not be sufficient enough to perform photosynthesis in humans as we require a large amount of energy as compared to plants.We would need to somehow simulate or create electron transport chain mechanism for the purpose to yield ATP.
