What would happen to a cell if it didn't contain any lysosomes or if its lysosomes weren't functioning?

Solution
Lysosomes:
Lysosomes are sphere-shaped organelles that contain hydrolytic enzymes that may degrade a wide range of substances.
They are frequently referred to as the "suicide bags" of the cell because of their unusual function.
Since lysosomes are membrane-bound organelles, hydrolytic enzymes and other cellular waste are found in the lumen, a region inside the membrane.
The function of the lysosome:
The main job of the lysosome is to digest food and get rid of the trash.
The endocytosis mechanism draws cellular waste or foreign particles into the cell.
Endocytosis occurs when the cell membrane collapses in on itself (invagination), enclosing the exterior components in a vacuole or pouch before bringing them into the cell.
Non-functioning of lysosomes in cells results in:
Lysosomes normally remove wastes and worn-out particles from cells, but when they are absent or malfunction, cells tend to amass these materials and become poisonous.
The cell would eventually stop functioning correctly and perish as a result.
