Solution

The correct option is C

The earth will move straight along the direction of velocity at that time

Because of the gravitational force between sun and earth, the earth revolves around sun.If suddenly the sun vanishes, the gravitational force between the sun and earth will disappear. So, the earth will no more be able to orbit around the sun. Thus it will start moving along the direction of velocity in a straight line as absence of any force directly means that the object is not accelerating and hence it ismoving with a constant velocity.
