Whatis the main function of asters of centrosomes?
Aster is a star-shaped cellular structure formed around each centrosome during mitosis or meiosis in an animal cell.
The functions of aster: -
1. Asters hold the two centrioles at the two opposite poles.
2. The asters then provide support and guidance to the chromosomes, ensuring that chromosomes end up in the right place as mitosis occurs.
