Solution
The correct option is B
stolon
Vegetative Propagule means a part of the plant becomes detached from the rest of the plant and grows into a new one. Example: spore, bud or a plant cutting.
Stolon/runners are the important aerial vegetative propagules in species like strawberry, grass etc.
A sucker is another kind of vegetative stem structure. Plants like banana, plantains, raspberry and cherry have suckers that grow from the base of the stem of the parent plant. Suckers start from the underground stem and shoot up to the surface.
Plants like potatoes, dahlia reproduce by tubers which are again underground.
A bulb contains an underground stem. Leaves are attached to the stem. These leaves contain much-stored food. At the centre of the bulb is an apical bud. Also attached are lateral buds. The apical bud will produce leaves and a flower while the lateral buds will produce new shoots. As the plant grows and develops it will form a new bulb underground.
