mw=1kg,tw=20oC,cw=4200J/kgoC
Temperature of mixture ,t=23oC.
By principle of mixtures ,
Heat given by Brass = Heat taken by water
mBcB(10023)=mwcw(2320)
or 0.4×cB×(10023)=1×4200×(2320)
or cB=4200×30.4×77=409J/kgoC
