Let , even number = x consecutive even number = x + 2 , So from given condition we get

x ( x + 2 ) + 1 = 225

x ² + 2 x - 224 = 0

x² + 16 x - 14 x - 224 = 0

x ( x + 16 ) - 14 ( x + 16 ) = 0

( x - 14 ) ( x + 16 ) = 0

So,

x = 14 and - 16

So,

Consecutive even numbers = 14 , 16 and - 16 , - 14 ( Ans )
