When a bird sits on electric wire, its electric potential is initially zero and after sitting on wire it increases. How?

Dear Student ,
The potential of a birds body is zero before coming in touch with a wire .When a bird sits on a wire its potential on its body increases and becomes equal to the potential of the wire .
As the bird hence works as an insulator so the potential does not becomes constant but with time it increases and becomes equal .
