The correct option is A
The body is initially at a certain height from the reference point. So initial potential energy is a positive value.
As the height increases, work done by gravity becomes more negative.
So, Potential energy $= (- Work done) = m g h$
$\Rightarrow$ Potential Energy increases linearly with height.
