When a force acting on a body displaces it in the direction of force, the work done by the force is
maximum
The work done by a force depends on the force, displacement of the body and the angle between force and displacement. When a force acting on a body displaces it in the direction of force, the entire force is used in doing work. Hence, work done is maximum but finite. The work done is minimum when the force acts opposite to displacement and is zero when the force is perpendicular to displacement.
