When a ice block is put into a beaker with some water and it melts the level of water remains constant ??
How?? Won;t the water level rise'?

Case I:

In the case of floating of ice block, the volume of the water displaced is equal to the ratio of mass of ice and density of water.

Case II:

In the case of ice melts into water, the volume of the water melted from ice is equal to the ratio of mass of ice and density of water.

As same amount of water is added in either cases, the level of water remains constant.
