Solution

The correct option is D Oviduct
When the egg becomes matured in the Graafian follicle inside the ovary, the process of ovulation occurs. There is an increase in the luteinizing hormone called as LH surge which results in ovulation. The egg which is released from the ovary into the interstitial space is taken up through the ostium into the fallopian tube (oviduct). The egg waits in the ampulla region of the oviduct for fertilization.
