Question

When a moving particle charge can make a magnetic field, why a table or a chair can not?

Open in App
Solution

A magnetic field can only be produced when there is a net flow of charged particles or there is a permanent magnet. Common objects like table etc have an equal amount of positive and negative charges so when they move, there is no net flow of charges and hence no magnetic field is produced.
