When a particle has used energy where does it go?

When one form of energy is used by a particle its converted to another form of energy. For ex., if heat is absorbed by a reaction then its converted to another form. For ex.,
In photosynthesis, carbondioxide and water in the presence of sunlight converted to glucose. Here light energy is converted to chemical energy.
