(A) Nose is the first organ of the respiratory system through which air enters into the body.
The nose has two holes called (B) nostrils. The nostrils and the nasal passages are separated by a wall called the septum.
When air enters through the nose , it travels down the pharynx (back of the throat), passes through the larynx (voice box) and into the (C) trachea also known as the windpipe.
The trachea extends from the neck and divides into two main (D) bronchi which are connected to the (E) lungs.
In the lungs, bronchi branch off into passageways, the smallest, called (F) bronchioles, lead to tiny air sacs called (G) alveoli, in which gaseous exchange takes place in the body.
