when a piece of paper and a coin are dropped from the same height Simultaneously. the coin reach the ground first and a paper take some time to reach the ground. if we crumple up the piece of paper in the form of balls and lets the to drop from the same Heights again they reach the ground almost at the same time. explain the science behind this activity.

The air friction acting on an object depends on the area of the object in contact with air .

In first case more area is in contact with air so more friction and hence takes more time as compared to when it is crumpled.
