Solution

Earthing serves as a seemingly infinite reservoir of electrons. It is capable of transferring electrons to or receiving electrons from a charged object in order to neutralise that object. According to question, when a positively charged rod is brought near a neutral sphere which is earthed as well, then the grounded sphere is capable of transferring electron near the positively charged rod.
