Where is the electric field strongest equipotential lines?

Solution
The field is strongest where the lines are most closely spaced. The electric field lines and the equipotential lines are perpendicular to each other. As shown in the diagram;
Near the positive charge, the potential is largest (most positive), and it is lowest (most negative) near the negative charge.
Equipotential lines run parallel to the electric field at all times. The lines form equipotential surfaces in three dimensions.
