When an electron falls from a higher energy a lower energy level, the difference in the energies appears in the from of electromagnetic radiation. Why cannot it be emitted as other forms of energy?

The electrons are charged particles. When an electron falls from a higher energy to a lower energy level, it accelerates. We know accelerating charged particle radiates energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation.
