When an object can be seen with one eye, why is it that we have a pair of eyes?

Solution
There are several advantages of us having two eyes instead of one.
Two eyes give us a wider
field of view. A human being has a horizontal field of view of about 150o with one eye
and of about 180o with two eyes.
The ability to detect faint objects is also enhanced with two detectors instead of one.
The two eyes give us a sense of depth. It makes us see the world in 3-D. With one eye, we wouldn't be able to sense or detect the depth or distance of objects in front of us.
The parallax error is also reduced when things are viewed through 2 eyes.
