Question

When an object is travelling almost at the speed of light, the mass of the object ______.

Solution

When an object is travelling at v<<c, its mass does not have any impact on its momentum or kinetic energy. But when v=c, or almost at the speed of light the kinetic energies and momenta varies with both mass as well as change in velocity. It is seen that mass increases as velocity 'v' nears the velocity of light 'c'.
