Treaty of Versailles was signed on 28th June, 1919 between Germany and Allied powers, i.e. Britain, France, USA etc.
The two important clauses of Treaty of Versailles were as follows
(i) German area of the Rhineland was to be demilitarised and the Allied Armies occupied this resource-rich area.
(ii)
Germany was to pay war reparation amounting 6 billion for loss and damages suffered by the Allies during the war.
